Because I think one day is way too short. I'm just saying.
Thanks everyone who sent me happy wishes. They all came true. And Doris baked what I think is the best birthday cake I've ever eaten (with all due respect to my mom).

It's a humid-ass Friday here in Brooklyn, and the weather is calling for strong thunderstorms, "some producing large hail." I wonder what that means. Earlier this year, we played in Milwaukee, WI, and when we left the venue it was hailing TENNIS BALLS. I mean, not actual tennis balls. But they were literally that big! Our friends saved a couple in their freezer so we could scrutinize them the next day and I saw that large hail is actually made of lots of little hailstones that stick together. It's pretty amazing but it can smash your damn windshield.
Just back from a great little vacation visiting friends down in Atlanta. We drank lots of outstanding wine and ate southern things like boiled peanuts and grits. Yum! Yum, I say. Today after rehearsal my friends are throwing me some kind of something for my birthday. It was supposed to be a barbecue, but as you know, it's supposed to hail, so we'll be indoors. I love my birthday, and I just did yoga, am all scrubbed and drinking coffee, ready for the day. Good times!
